The New Way of

 Experiencing the Swiss Alps

Our Project

DroneVia©

Where the reliability of cable car technology meets the freedom of low-altitude flight.

The idea was born to introduce a low-impact transport solution. Unlike traditional cable cars, which often require extensive landscape modification, our project prioritises ecological harmony without compromising the cable car's service in terms of capacity and speed.

The Low-altitude Economy

As the low-altitude economy advances, DroneVia is set to be a frontrunner.

By integrating eVTOL and UAV technology, we are bringing to life our vision of a sustainable new way to experience the Alpine landscape. Our goal is to transform tourism in the Swiss mountains through an eco-friendly aerial transport system that respects the natural environment.

EH216-S: First Demo Flight in Switzerland

Extensive Media Coverage for EHang’s First Demonstration Flight with the EH216-S in Switzerland. The demonstration flight of the EHang’s EH216-S eVTOL, organized by DroneVia Group SA on July 3 and 4, 2026, at Ambrì Airport, generated significant interest from the Swiss media and the public. This event, which marks a first in Switzerland for this category of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, was covered by television stations, newspapers, and digital platforms, helping to raise awareness of the potential of a new sustainable air mobility.

Major media outlets dedicated reports and in-depth coverage to the event.

  • RSI – Il Quotidiano and RSI Info released television reports and articles dedicated to the first demonstration flight of EH216-S with technical specifications, and DroneVia’s vision for the future of Alpine mobility. The project’s pioneering role in Switzerland and the potential use of eVTOLs to connect mountainous areas in a sustainable manner were also highlighted.

  • Corriere del Ticino described the event as a significant milestone in the development of advanced air mobility in Switzerland, emphasizing the collaboration between DroneVia, EHang Europe, and the institutional and industrial partners involved.

  • TicinoNews / Teleticino covered the project by highlighting DroneVia’s vision for a new form of mobility in the Alpine regions and the interest expressed by cantonal authorities in the opportunities offered by this technological innovation.

Widespread coverage on social media. Participants, institutions, partners, and international guests shared photos, videos, and reviews on social media raising the project's profile far beyond Canton Ticino.

This demonstration flight in Ambrì marks an important first step. The event represents a significant contribution to the development of innovative, safe, and sustainable air travel, capable of creating new opportunities for the Alpine regions and for Switzerland’s entire innovation ecosystem.

Thank you! DroneVia would like to thank all media outlets in attendance, the journalists, institutional partners, EHang Europe, federal and cantonal authorities, speakers, guests, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
